the incredible edible BRAIN
I have been asked by my duaghter to assist- as all moms are going to be- in creation of an edible but identifiable brain- with the ability to have the various parts in different colors/ outlines for school- So at our house we tried several practice methods- much to the happiness of my co workers and friends-
FIrst tried jello with fruit- my mold did not work- ( it was a football)
then tried rice crispies- could not get the outlines to work- then tried my moms favorite dessert- but enlarged- greatly- cake balls- it is working- jsut need to get my daughter to finish up her part( the outlien and ID)
The reicpe is easy- and I recommend it to all--
make a cake- and keep the can icing handy- when the cake comes out of the oven- still hot hot hot- crumble the cake- mix in the icing- it makes a smooshy almost play doh substance- I stuck it in the frdge- and let it harden- a little- then shaped it into a very large brain. then stick it in the freezer- and will let her icing with grey ( white with a little black) then she can use piping gel for the outline and ID .. it was such a hit I did the pracitce one in lemon- oohhh yumm.
