That sounds like a good option too. I guess I lucked out - we didn't have to wait for an appointment with a pediatric dentist and it costs the same as a regular one.

Baby Benadryl

What I’ve learned about Baby Benadryl…first, there is no such thing as “Baby Benadryl”. However, there is a children’s version of Benadryl. The label says “do not give to children under 2″. I broke that rule, consulting my doctor first of course.

2 Hour Sleeping Rule?

When my first son was born he was the typical newborn - he slept all day and was up most of the night. Being new parents, we really didn’t know what we were doing. I thought we knew a lot, but in reality we were learning as time went on.

When Jack did wake up during the day I would keep him awake as long as possible. Inevitably, he would get incredibly grouchy and then we’d put him to bed. The problem was that he was overtired at that point and couldn’t fall asleep. Eventually he’d be so exhaus… Continue

2) Use the “one-word rulContinue

First trip to the dentist

Your child’s first trip to the dentist should happen when they’re 3 years old. We had our first trip recently and it went much better than I had expected. Here are a few pointers that may help make the experience relatively painless for you and your child.

-Prepare your child
-Go to a pediatric dentist
-Get a morning appointment
-Praise them for doing a good job

Prepare your child: Let them know what to expect. I told my son something like “The lady (hygienist) will brush your te… Continue
